About Me

I am a staff photographer at the Tri-City Herald in Kennewick, Washington and a graduate of The University of Oregon, where I worked as the photo editor of the Oregon Daily Emerald. I also worked as a photographer for two issues of Flux, the UO's award-winning student magazine; Mosaic, the newspaper capstone project; and was an intern at the Accra Daily Mail in Accra, Ghana during the summer of 2005.

In the past, I have also worked as a swim instructor, which taught me how to work with children and their parents; a lifeguard, which taught me how to simultaneously spot important details while keeping an eye on the big picture; and as a waiter for five years, which taught me vital interpersonal skills that I believe aid in successful photography.

I am currently based in Kennewick, Washington.
